All my mods are anime and kancolle related, so if you like it, feel free to download.
And I also want to thank team pravda for your amazing mods that inspired me to make mine.

Montana (Battleship princess, kancolle)
New Mexico (Ru-class battleship, kancolle)
Yorck (Weiss Schnee, RWBY)
Admiral Hipper (Prinz Eugen, kancolle)
Warning: I did use the Nazi swastika in this mod just because it would fit this German ship better than the vanilla in-game flag. I don’t encourage or support the nazi by any mean.

[MOD] Yamato Gun Normals Skin

Yamato Gun Normals: Makes your guns bumpy

This sprung about from me simply looking around the game files & finding something off, namely the normals on the main batteries of the Yamato were pretty much left blank. This mod aims to fix that issue until WarGaming issues an official fix (then rendering this mod obsolete).

Before we continue you might be asking what in the world is a normal? It’s a texture map that’s loaded on top of your normal textures to produce bump effects in directed light. However if it is left blank you would not see any of it in action, normal-mapping is a big contributor on the realistic look of ships without adding any extra geometry.

Where to look: check the way light interacts with the main battery on the Yamato. Everything should “pop-out” more at you in the light rather than looking flat.

Compatability: Works for 0.5.2.4+ until the game changes in a big way. Compatible with your other skin mods provided none of them changes the file this mod uses.

Performance: Impact none.

Updates:
Fixed improper naming, works now.

[MOD] Glow Planes for Wows

Updated: 2/14/2016

Glow Planes: Makes your planes glow

A significant change for an objectively insignificant issue. Ever notice that while your ARP ships are nice & glowy, your float-planes are quite dim?

Here’s the vanilla float-plane on the ARP Kongo, notice the lack of glow compared to the rest of the ship.

Now here’s where the mod comes in & all its glowing glory.

Want it brighter? Let’s kick it up a notch, here’s the preliminary build of a upcoming skin that I’ll include later if people are interested in it. For now it’s just something I keep to myself.

See the difference? It’s pretty night & day if you ask me, now you can make yours glow too!

ARP Myoko Comparisons

Compatibility: The mod itself should not interfere with any other skin mods provided they don’t share the same file names. It’s also is self-contained so there is no risk of a mess up to your file paths in anyway, it’s as simple as deleting it to fully revert back. Works with 0.5.2.4+ until WG drastically changes game files.

Installation: The usual fare, move all contents inside the .7z file (excluding Readme) into your “res-mods” folder, more detailed explanation inside.

Performance Impact: Should be none to very negligible (basically don’t worry about it).

File size: It’s pretty small.

Updates: v.1.2.5 – Included mipmaps.
v.1.2 – Added ARP Myoko’s float-fighter.

Bonus: This method can work with any ship in theory, if you have a specific skin you want glowing just hit me up when I have time.

Animated, Damage Ship Skins, Paints for Wows

I am currently working on trying to reproduce, or find a way to introduce the ‘fire’ glow that occurs after you take a hit as an initial state of the paint for a ship.

Currently I have had some very limited success layering the reflective (chrome) pixel by pixel under a paint which is crossing a boundary set by the contours mapping file. This makes an interesting effect of ‘moving’ lights, however the color is limited to the use of the ‘chrome’ color (which you can get by using yellow in your mg.dds file) and is hard to get to look right in general.

What I am trying to do is find a way to basically use the ‘fire’ glow effect as a paint for some interesting effects, however I can not find a way to introduce either:
1) animations
2) damage effects as initial states to specific locations
3) color changing effects outside of chrome

Has anyone else looked into this, or is anyone else interested in this?

I have still not gotten it all to work, however I am testing several different lighting effects, such as turning objects into shadows (guns), chrome, mixed glow colors, etc.
I would appreciate any feedback / thoughts on how to expand the effects from anyone.

Overview:
I am testing shadows as well, such as I turned the cannons into shadows which is only partially working so far….. If you want to try the entire ship as a shadow, replace the “russia/cruiser/RSC001_Avrora_1917.mfm” with “russia/cruiser/RSC001_Avrora_1917 – shadowship.mfm” which will show you an interesting shadow effect (the ship turns into a shadow that can be seen on background objects / buildings).

Glowing searchlights for Wows

The mod “switch on” all ship position lights, searchlights, reflectors, landing lights etc…

Installation: Unpack than just copy to res_mods folder as usually.

I use same texture size, MIPMaps and compression that WoWs used so you should won’t have any performance issue.
It is not interfere with any other mod because it is change the lights only.
In some cases if you use custom texture mods that change some of these ship lights textures (lights, reflectors, etc..) you need to revise your texture mod first before use this mod.

Russian Cruisers No-rust and Camos Skin

[0.5.4.1] Unique Camouflage for each ship Wows

$

I am french, so sorry for my poor english.

I always find that camouflage are very limited in World of Warships.
All ships show the same camouflage pattern. Only the colors seems to be different.
Since last patch 0.5.2.4, premium ships have unique camouflage. Why not all ships ?

The objective of my mod is to give an unique camouflage for each ship.
So I have drawn pattern files, choosen colors and adjusted mapping. Then I have assigned it to each ship to created a unique combination. It is not a skin mod, but a camouflage mod.
It’s really important because you keep the bonus by using camo !!! As usual, you need to buy with credits the camouflage.

Type 1, 2 and 5 camouflage on Svietlana, Phoenix, Omaha, Cleveland, Pensacola, Wyoming, Myogi et Kongo
Type 1 and 5 camouflage onIzokaze, Minekaze, Langley et Hosho
Type 1 camouflage on Gnevny, Ognevoy, Kiev, Tashkent, Udaloy et Khabarovsk
Type 2 camouflage onNew Orleans, Baltimore, Des Moines, Furutaka, Aoba, Myoko, Mogami, Ibuki, Zao, Konigsberg, Nürnberg, Yorck, Admiral Hipper, Roon, Hindenburg, New York, New Mexico, Colorado, North Carolina, Iowa, Montana, Fuso, Nagato, Amagi, Izumo, Yamato

Note :
1. it’s very important to understand that it is NOT a SKINS mod, but a CAMOUFLAGE PATTERN MOD.
2. I know that is not historical camouflage. I have done this mod to give ships more attractive like Premium ships. If you want 100% historical ships, download indivdual skins on the web.

Sorry, it’s in french, but the included Google Translate module will help you ! I hope it’s efficient …

Roon with Rory Mercury Wows

Work done, here is my Roon skin with Rory Mercury, I guess the skin textures fit well with guns textures of xandier59. For tier X Hidenburg I suggest the skin of xandier59 since I’m using it too and you can clearly see that some main/secondary guns, director, finder and other details textures are actually from the Hidenburg skins.

Thanks xandier59 and team Pravda for their awesome work.
